“the sun is setting, isn’t it?” he once said to her,
“i may not be able to see it, but i can feel it on my
face.”

[she became his eyes and taught him how to see.]

he used to hold her tightly during thunder and lightning
storms, and she would feel safe, though he  needed that
more than her.   

she use to describe the sun and the stars to him,
saying they reminded her of him.

he gave her everything she never deserved and
she accepted it with arms wide open.

but now, no matter if he left her or if he stayed
there would still be an ocean, it no longer mattered how
many promises she made and broke.

the dim-lit streets were pouring with crack-whores
and he’d sit ill fit with expressions that scream her
name as his heart would beat “i’m sorry” though he
had nothing to be sorry of.

[he had a sad habit of blaming himself whenever she
was at fault.]

either way she won’t hear, she never hears him
and she’ll have fun picking up the pieces of her
shattered broken life without him, knowing that i
love you became i hate you.

she made him feel the way no person ever should,
and she was blind(like him) to the fact he needed help.

she never noticed that he stopped smiling in his sleep,
or maybe she just didn’t want to.

now she knows and she names all the stars after him
and prays for forgiveness even though he’s long gone
and she’ll never get it.

she was the death of him, and soon he will be the
death of her, making them the death of each other.
